I was 8 years-old when I formally started my studies in art at the Brazilian Fine-Arts Society. By the early 1990s, I had already completed studies at the Rio de Janeiro Federal Academy of Fine Arts, where I was taught by Paulo Houayek, Nelson Macedo, and Marcelo Duprat. My first major commercial breakthrough came in 1995, with the EBA Paints Fundão Project. On that occasion, I sold my first oil panel, “The Baptism”, currently located at the University Director´s Building. Additionally, “Soldiers of Fire” was also sold during the show and remains in exhibition at the Firemen Headquarters Museum.
Latest projects
I taught painting lessons at the “Casa de Cultura Estácio de Sá” (Estacio de Sá Culture Center) between 1999 and 2006.
In 2004 I met author Albert Dahoui, who founded the Corifeu Publishing Company, and since then he has been commissioning book covers and illustrations from me.
Currently, I am learning Graphic Design and Webdesign at Senai Graphic Arts.
